  It was Sunday night and we didn't want anything heavy so we went for the gourmet pizzas. The mains weren't very exciting anyway . The pizza list looked good so we ordered a small Margherita and a medium calzone

  This was a mix of cheese and tomato paste well-stirred and not a morsel of basil in sight. Plus cooked to buggery (in good Aussie lingo) and a thick crust a la Pizza Hut

  The calzone arrived but it was open..? Not folded over There were fresh mushroom pieces now quite dehydrated with some chopped ham , onion , cheese and other things. Not exciting and well cooked

  We went in August 2016 because we had heard about the experienced chef who had worked at Beppi's . Should be good

  We queried that this was not a calzone . The waitress replied that , yes it was, and "ït's all in the spelling " (whatever that means ) We informed her that we had just come back from Italy-the home of pizzas-2 weeks before and it was definitely NOT a calzone . But she was adamant that it was .
